The Madhya Pradesh School Education Department is running a special campaign across the state to create APAAR IDs, with the aim of ensuring that the academic records of all students in the state are digitally secured and available in a single location. Under this initiative, an APAAR ID will be generated for every student. Additionally, a “Mega APAAR Day” will be organized in all schools across the state every Saturday.

According to school education statistics, APAAR IDs will be generated for approximately 1 crore 39 lakh 38 thousand school students in the state. So far, APAAR IDs have been created for 93 lakh 97 thousand students. The process of creating APAAR IDs for the remaining 44 lakh 47 thousand students will be completed by June 30.
Approximately 1 crore 39 lakh 38 thousand students are enrolled in government and non-government schools across the state, ranging from nursery to Class 12. This figure includes 70 lakh 09 thousand 516 students from government schools and 69 lakh 28 thousand 218 students from non-government schools.
Mega APAAR Day organized in schools every Saturday
“Mega APAAR Day” will be observed in all schools across the state until June 30. This event will take place every Saturday. As part of this initiative, the first APAAR Day was organized in schools today, June 6. A large number of students, accompanied by their parents, visited their schools to complete their APAAR registration.
Benefits of APAAR ID
An APAAR ID serves as a lifelong digital academic identity for a student. It securely consolidates all of a student’s academic records in one place. It is a digital and paperless record system. Beyond assisting with scholarships, admissions, and government schemes, the APAAR ID is useful anytime and anywhere.
In this context, parents of students lacking an Apaar ID are being invited to the school to complete the enrollment process. The School Education Department has prepared and provided field officials with school-wise lists of students who do not yet have an APAAR ID, categorized by district and development block.
For students without an Aadhaar number, the Department is prioritizing Aadhaar enrollment through district enrollment centers, banks, and post offices to ensure that the lack of Aadhaar does not hinder the creation of the APAAR ID. Instructions have also been issued to identify and immediately resolve obstacles such as name discrepancies (between Aadhaar records and the UDISE+ portal), Aadhaar seeding errors, or delays in obtaining parental/guardian consent.
What is an APAAR ID?
The APAAR ID is a unique 12-digit identification number. It serves as a digital identity card for a student’s academic life, securely maintaining their lifelong academic records. It acts as a digital repository for marksheets, degrees, badges, awards, certificates, and achievements.
In accordance with Government of India directives, the generation of APAAR IDs (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) for all students studying in government and private schools across the country must be completed 100% by June 30, 2026. To this end, acting swiftly, the School Education Department in Madhya Pradesh is organizing ‘Apar Diwas’ in schools.
