Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel said that the convocation oath contains the guiding principles for the future of graduating students. Therefore, graduating students should follow the oath not merely for a day but throughout their lives. They should always remain humble and never become arrogant. He urged them to progress in life by drawing upon the education and values received from their parents, teachers and university.
The Governor said that graduating doctors should remain committed at all times to serving suffering humanity. They should interact with patients with utmost empathy, listen patiently to their problems and provide treatment with care.
Governor Mangubhai Patel was addressing the “Convocation Ceremony and Graduation Day” programme at Mansarovar Global University in Sehore on Wednesday. He conferred honorary degrees on renowned bhajan singer Padma Shri Anup Jalota and international cricketer from Madhya Pradesh Rajat Patidar. The Governor also conferred degrees and medals on the university’s graduating students and extended his best wishes to all of them for their future. Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar was also present at the ceremony held at Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium.
Organise Service-Oriented Activities Continuously: Governor Patel said universities should make special efforts to inculcate the spirit of service among students and inspire them to work for the welfare of underprivileged sections. He also called for initiatives through educational institutions to support talented children in remote and rural areas.
Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Private University Regulatory Commission Dr. Khemsingh Dehariya said graduating students should bring glory to their villages, state, institution and country through the knowledge they have acquired.
Padma Shri Anup Jalota advised students to always remain humble in every success they achieve in life. International cricketer Rajat Patidar encouraged the graduating students to undertake every task with complete dedication and continue to progress in their respective fields.
University Chancellor Smt. Manjula Tiwari welcomed Governor Patel by presenting him with a bouquet and a sapling and felicitated him with a memento.
Pro-Chancellor Gaurav Tiwari delivered the welcome address, while Vice-Chancellor A.S. Yadav presented the annual report. Shri A.S. Rajput administered the convocation oath to the graduating students.
Vice-chancellors and former vice-chancellors of various universities, students and their family members were present at the programme.
