The National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Bhopal, made a significant presence at SEMICON 2026 through its booth curated by the Centre for OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test), which served as a nodal point for showcasing the institute’s growing capabilities in semiconductor packaging, OSAT technologies, skill development, innovation, and advanced technical facilities.
The NITTTR Bhopal booth attracted a large number of industry experts, semiconductor professionals, academicians, researchers, and students throughout the event. Visitors showed keen interest in the institute’s initiatives in semiconductor packaging and OSAT, particularly its advanced infrastructure, technology-development activities, custom-built equipment, and specialized training programmes.
A major attraction at the booth was the Advanced Certificate Course on OSAT, developed to support the growing requirement for skilled human resources in India’s rapidly expanding semiconductor ecosystem. The course and associated activities received considerable appreciation from visitors, reflecting the relevance of NITTTR Bhopal’s efforts towards industry-oriented education, capacity building, and workforce development in semiconductor packaging.
The innovations, technology-development work, and custom equipment displayed by the Centre for OSAT were also among the key highlights of the exhibition. The demonstrations provided visitors with an opportunity to understand the institute’s practical and applied approach to semiconductor packaging and its efforts to develop indigenous technical capabilities and solutions.
The participation was further strengthened by the presence and guidance of Director, NITTTR Bhopal, Shri C. C. Tripathi, along with Dr. P. K. Khanna, Dr. Ajay Shankar, Dr. Seema Verma, and members of the NITTTR Bhopal team. Their presence at SEMICON 2026 reflected the institute’s institutional commitment to advancing semiconductor education, research, technology development, industry collaboration, and skill development.
NITTTR Bhopal’s participation was particularly noteworthy as the institute was among the relatively few academic institutions at the event showcasing advanced semiconductor packaging and OSAT-related capabilities, facilities, innovations, and technical development work. The participation provided an important platform for the institute to interact with industry stakeholders, explore opportunities for collaboration, understand emerging technological requirements, and highlight its contribution to the development of India’s semiconductor ecosystem.
Through its participation at SEMICON 2026, NITTTR Bhopal demonstrated its expanding role in semiconductor packaging and OSAT education, training, innovation, and technology development, while also highlighting its growing engagement with the semiconductor ecosystem in Madhya Pradesh and across India. The enthusiastic response from industry professionals and students reaffirmed the relevance of the Centre for OSAT’s initiatives and the institute’s continued efforts to build advanced technical capabilities and skilled manpower for the semiconductor sector.
