Gwalior: Carmel Convent Senior Secondary School celebrated Guru Purnima by honouring six of its veteran teachers in a dignified ceremony that paid tribute to their years of dedicated service and enduring contribution to education.
E. A. John, Mamta Goyal, Iris Sunil, Seema Sachdeva, Vinita Srivastava and Rashmi Savarwal were felicitated with bouquets, dupatta, mementoes and citations in recognition of their exemplary commitment to teaching and student development.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Rev. Sr. Ramya Vakko said the unwavering dedication of the honoured teachers has helped shape the school’s legacy of academic excellence and values-based education. Their commitment, she said, continues to inspire generations of students and educators. The ceremony was attended by School Manager Rev. Sr. Tessy Maria, Sr. Geetanjali and School Coordinators Usha Singh, Chetna Khurana and Shobha Thakur.
Speaking on the occasion, Coordinator Usha Singh described teaching as a profession that extends far beyond the classroom. Teachers shape character, instil values and lay the foundation for a better society, she said, applauding the awardees for their discipline, dedication, and exemplary service.
