The National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Bhopal, made a significant impact at the “Government Achievements and Schemes Expo-2026,” held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from July 25 to 27, 2026, by winning the first prize in the “Excellence in Faculty Development and Technical Pedagogy” category.
At the expo, NITTTR Bhopal showcased its academic consultancy services, industry collaborations, and innovations in the field of technical education. Visitors to the institute’s stall were briefed on initiatives such as outcome-based curriculum design and assessment reforms for higher education institutions, academic consultancy, 14 MOOCs developed in emerging technology areas, work related to the Indian Knowledge System (IKS), and other specialized domains. Additionally, 24 MOOCs developed for the SWAYAM platform—which have benefited over 4.24 lakh learners to date—were also displayed.\
The Institute also highlighted its significant contribution to capacity building in technical education, having trained 63,114 teachers through 2,584 training programs since 2014.
The exhibition featured indigenous semiconductor packaging technologies and products developed by the institute, advanced metal additive manufacturing (3D printing) solutions for health, defense, and industrial applications, achievements in innovation and indigenous technology development, and key efforts regarding the creditization of internships under the NATS 2.0 program.
During the expo, the stall attracted over 600 visitors—including students, teachers, experts from premier educational institutions, and industry representatives—who showed keen interest in the institute’s activities and achievements.
Under the guidance of the Institute’s Director, Prof. Chandra Charu Tripathi, Dr. Anju Rawle, Dr. Sandeep S. Kedar, Dr. Ravi Kumar Gupta, and Dr. Shilpi represented the Institute. Upon receiving the first prize, Director Prof. Chandra Charu Tripathi congratulated the entire team, stating that this achievement signifies important national-level recognition of the Institute’s excellence in academic, training, and innovation-related activities.
He expressed confidence that NITTTR Bhopal would continue to make outstanding contributions in the fields of enhancing the quality of technical education, faculty capacity building, and innovation in the future.
