Datia: Radha Yadav, a talented girl of Datia, emerged from a talent search conducted by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department, Datia, recently winning the silver medal by finishing second in the 1500-meter race at the 40th National Junior Athletics Championship in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
Radha Yadav’s timing was 4:19:4.19, securing first and second place among runners. Karnataka runner Vaishnavi Rawal finished first, while Rajasthan’s Manju Chaudhary finished third.
District Sports and Youth Welfare Officer Dr. Arvind Singh Rana and Youth Coordinator, Development Block Datia, Sanjay Rawat, congratulated and wished Radha Yadav and her father, Ramdulare, on this commendable achievement.
Radha Yadav, a resident of Larayta village, Gram Panchayat, Datia, received her initial athletic training at the Datia Stadium and has currently been training at the Athletics Academy of the Sports and Youth Welfare Department, Bhopal, for three years after being selected through a talent search. She is making her mark at the national level playing for Madhya Pradesh Athletics Association.
