
Bhopal: In a big stride towards rural empowerment, Dr. Pankaj Shukla, President of the Association for Sustainable Rural Empowerment (ASRE) and Chairman & Managing Director of Gramya, met with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav to discuss the transformative initiative, Samruddh Gram, Samruddha Bharat (Prosperous Villages, Prosperous India).
The meeting, held at the Chief Minister’s office, marked a pivotal moment in aligning grassroots innovation with state-level policy for comprehensive rural development.
Creating self-reliant rural ecosystems
Dr. Shukla briefed CM Mohan Yadav on the core principles of the Samruddh Gram framework, emphasizing its holistic approach to rural development. The initiative integrates sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, digital empowerment, and women-led entrepreneurship to create self-reliant rural ecosystems. Dr. Shukla highlighted the success of projects, where the model has led to increased farmer incomes, enhanced digital literacy, and improved access to government services.

Chief Minister MohanYadav acknowledged the potential of the Samruddh Gram model to complement existing government schemes and enhance their impact. CM Dr. Yadav emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in scaling such initiatives and committed to facilitating necessary policy support to ensure their success.
Dr. Shukla reiterated his commitment to building a self-reliant and prosperous rural Madhya Pradesh, stating, “The future of our nation lies in the empowerment of its villages. Through collaborative efforts and innovative models like Samruddh Gram, we can achieve sustainable development and equitable growth.”
