Bhopal: World Way International School celebrated Shri Krishna Janmashtami and Grandparents’ Day with great enthusiasm, devotion, and cultural fervour. Students presented a vibrant array of cultural performances, bringing alive Indian traditions, family values, and episodes from the life of Lord Krishna.
The highlight of the programme was a Bharatanatyam presentation under the guidance of Guru Manju Mani Hatwalne. The first performance, “Maadu Meikkum Kanne,” beautifully portrayed the tender bond between Yashoda and young Krishna. Dancer Tanishka Hatwalne, through her expressive abhinaya, brought alive Yashoda’s deep maternal affection and the playful innocence of Bala Krishna.
This was followed by “Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum,” performed by the disciples of Guru Manju Mani Hatwalne. The captivating group performance depicted the various divine aspects of Lord Krishna, as Bala Krishna, Gopala, the compassionate protector of devotees, and Jagadguru. The performance created an atmosphere of devotion and spirituality and was warmly appreciated by the audience.
The participating dancers were Tanishka Hatwalne, Tashi Khare, Agrima Shrivastava, Prisha Sondhiya, Vaibhavi Rawat, Nikhita Vimal, Delisha Rajkonda, and Arghyaa Badgaiyan. Their graceful movements, expressive performance, and disciplined presentation received enthusiastic appreciation from the audience.
On the occasion of Grandparents’ Day, specially invited grandparents were welcomed and honoured by the school. Special activities were organised to express respect and gratitude towards grandparents. Children and their grandparents participated enthusiastically, creating a warm atmosphere of affection, togetherness, and family values across the school campus.
Principal Sushmita Deb said that such celebrations provide an important opportunity for students to connect with their cultural heritage and family values. Director Anjali Patidar congratulated all the participants and parents and said that the school would continue to play an active role in nurturing Indian culture, art, and family traditions.
The celebration brought together culture, devotion, art, and family values, making the Janmashtami festivities a memorable occasion for everyone present.
