MP Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the remote village of Bondari in Balaghat district on Saturday. He engaged in a heartfelt dialogue with the residents of Bondari, a village that was previously affected by Naxalism. Sitting on the ground amidst the villagers, he listened to the issues faced by the tribal community and resolved them on the spot.
CM held detailed discussions on various topics, including promoting animal husbandry, providing housing facilities, launching public awareness campaigns to encourage the consumption of nutritious food, seeking cooperation from the Forest Department, and enhancing healthcare, education, and employment opportunities. CM Dr. Yadav directed officials to ensure these facilities are made available to the villagers. Notably, this marks the first time in history that a Chief Minister has visited the Naxal-affected villages of Bondari and Korka in Balaghat district to meet the residents.
CM Mohan Yadav said that the youth will be connected with new opportunities. He stated that the government’s goal is not merely to build roads, but to connect roads with markets, villages with employment, and youth with opportunities. By further promoting MSMEs, village industries, and local employment-oriented industries in Balaghat district, opportunities for jobs and self-employment will be created for the youth within their own region. Sectors such as agriculture, dairy, animal husbandry, fisheries, horticulture, and food processing will be leveraged to boost the income of rural families.
The CM stated that Balaghat district is rapidly advancing towards a new dawn of development, driven by renewed hope and resolve. The vision is for a Balaghat that is free from Naxalism and brimming with fresh opportunities for development and employment. He remarked that while a Naxal-free Balaghat is indeed a significant achievement, the next objective is to transform it into a prosperous, self-reliant, and happy district. He affirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring development in every village, opportunities for every youth, increased income for every family, and dignity for every section of society.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that social infrastructure and economic activities would be expanded to transform a secure Balaghat into a prosperous one. He emphasized that extending the reach of development to the last person in areas freed from Naxalism is a government priority; alongside amenities such as roads, electricity, drinking water, education, and healthcare, employment opportunities based on local resources will also be developed.
CM Mohan Yadav emphasized that his government would strive to ensure value addition for village-produced goods at the local level and facilitate their easy transport to major markets across the country. He added that special emphasis would be placed on increasing family incomes by integrating women and self-help groups into economic activities and small-scale enterprises.
CM said opportunities for skill development, training, and entrepreneurship will be expanded to transform the local youth into job creators—such as self-entrepreneurs and industrialists—rather than mere job seekers. Dr. Yadav stated that, given Balaghat district’s natural wealth and cultural heritage, efforts would be made to elevate tourism, eco-tourism, and tribal tourism to new heights.
