In a move to integrate the Bhartiya Gyan Parampara with technical education, teacher training, research, and innovation, a Sanskrit Study Centre is being established at the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Bhopal.
The Central Sanskrit University has accepted the proposal to set up this centre at NITTTR Bhopal and has also approved the provision of faculty for it.
Expressing happiness over this achievement, the Institute’s Director, Prof. C.C. Tripathi, stated that the Sanskrit Study Centre would not merely be an academic unit but would serve as a vital bridge connecting the new generation with Indian knowledge, science, and culture.
Prof. Tripathi said the establishment of this centre aligns with the spirit of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes the preservation and promotion of the Indian knowledge tradition and its integration across various levels of education. Conveying scientific thought, knowledge systems, and life values embedded in the Sanskrit language to students is among the Institute’s priorities.
Prof. P.K. Purohit, Head of the Department of Bhartiya Gyan Parampara, stated that the Sanskrit Study Centre would play a pivotal role in familiarizing students with the Sanskrit language as well as the foundational texts of the Bhartiya Gyan Parampara. This initiative will provide a new direction to research, translation, and manuscript studies, enabling students to understand ancient knowledge resources from their original sources while exploring their modern contexts and potential applications.
