Bhopal. On the occasion of World Teachers’ Day, Alliance Française de Bhopal in association with the ArtDesign Teachers’ Forum is presenting a special exhibition of artist-educators titled “Beyond the Artroom.” The exhibition will be inaugurated on 3 October 2026 at 6 PM at Alliance Française de Bhopal, Shahpura. Renowned poet, writer, and art critic Prayag Shukla will be the Chief Guest for the opening ceremony.
The exhibition is being organized across two cities. It will be on view in Bhopal on 3, 5 and 6 October, and in Indore on 9 and 10 October 2026. The exhibition features selected works by 22 artist-educators from Bhopal, Indore, Dhar, Delhi, Bengaluru, Bhilai, Sikkim and other cities.
World Teachers’ Day is celebrated annually on 5 October. This year marks the 60th edition of the observance, being commemorated with special events at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. The day recognizes the invaluable contribution of teachers to creativity, education, and society. Reflecting this spirit, Beyond the Artroom brings into focus, for the first time, the creative identities of art teachers who are not only educators but also practicing artists.

The ArtDesign Teachers’ Forum is an active platform of art and design educators in Madhya Pradesh. “Beyond the Artroom” is more than an art exhibition. The exhibition showcases a diverse range of contemporary artistic expressions, including painting, printmaking, and mixed media works.
