NITTTR Bhopal organized an orientation program for undergraduate (UG) students for the academic year 2026-27.
Addressing the students as the chief guest and motivational speaker, retired IAS officer and former Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, Durga Shankar Mishra, stated that “today is a treasure trove of opportunities.”
He noted that the country is changing rapidly and India is moving towards becoming a global manufacturing hub. In such times, the youth have vast opportunities for self-development and contributing to the nation’s progress.
Mishra urged students not to view securing a job as their ultimate goal but to play their role as drivers of a ‘New India.’ Instead of merely aiming for success in their respective fields, they should strive for excellence. Alongside professional achievements, qualities such as integrity, credibility, and an all-round personality are equally important.
Mishra highlighted the ‘Six Cs’ as crucial for personality development: Curiosity, Competence, Creativity, Communication, Character, and Contribution.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. C.C. Tripathi, Director of NITTTR Bhopal, emphasized that students should focus on the balanced development of knowledge, skills, character, and values in their lives. While technical proficiency is essential in the modern era, a personality cannot be complete without credibility, honesty, communication skills, and human values.
Tripathi advised students to keep themselves constantly updated, learn in new domains, and stay connected with the changing world.
On this occasion, Prof. Sanjay Agrawal, Dean (Academic Affairs), shed light on the growth journey of NITTTR Bhopal, the institute’s achievements, and its role in the field of technical education. The program was conducted by Prof. Manish Bhargava. Faculty members, officials, staff, and graduate students of the institute were present at the event.
