As part of its International Research Visit to Taiwan from 5–15 August 2026, The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS), Bhopal marked an important milestone in its international academic engagement with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Chung Cheng University (CCU), Taiwan on 11 August 2026.
The MoU signing represents a significant step towards building a sustained partnership between the two institutions in the areas of research, academic exchange, knowledge sharing, faculty collaboration and joint academic initiatives.
During the interaction, Prof. Jui-Lung Cheng, Dean, College of Education, National Chung Cheng University, appreciated the efforts of BSSS in promoting a strong research culture and academic environment. He acknowledged the institution’s commitment towards strengthening research and creating opportunities for meaningful academic engagement at the international level. Prof. Cheng is officially listed by CCU as Professor and Dean of the College of Education.
Potential areas of collaboration
The discussion also focused on identifying potential areas of collaboration between CCU and BSSS, with emphasis on developing activities that can create long-term academic and research outcomes. The interaction provided an opportunity to explore possibilities for joint research projects, collaborative publications, academic programmes, faculty interactions, research exchange and other scholarly initiatives.
Prof. Min-Chieh Lin, National Chung Cheng University, who is associated with the Department of Criminology, played an important role in facilitating the visit and discussions. He elaborated on the possibilities of future collaboration and joint activities between CCU and BSSS, highlighting the importance of translating the MoU into meaningful academic initiatives and sustained institutional engagement. CCU’s Department of Criminology lists Prof. Min-Chieh Lin among its faculty members.
The BSSS delegation expressed its appreciation to the leadership and faculty members of National Chung Cheng University for their warm hospitality and constructive academic engagement. The MoU is expected to provide a framework for future collaborative research, academic exchange, knowledge-sharing initiatives and international networking.
The signing marks an important achievement of the ongoing Taiwan research visit and reflects BSSS’s commitment to developing global academic partnerships and creating new avenues for research and knowledge exchange.
