Indore: Yamana Malik created history by winning two gold medals at the Indore Foil Challenge 2026, organized by Shri Krishna Public School and the Indore Fencing Sports Development Association.
Yamana Malik, a student of Choithram International IB School, won gold medals in both the Tiny Tots and Child categories. Meanwhile, Aqeefa Ansari, a student of The International School of Bombay, secured a gold medal in the Sub-Junior category and a silver medal in the Mini age group.
The championship was inaugurated by Manish Arya, President of the Indore Fencing Sports Development Association, who officially launched the event using the electronic scoring system’s remote control. The ceremony was attended by Master Sayeed Alam (Secretary), Anfal Ansari, Shinam Khan, NIS Coaches Abdul Rashid and Sumitra Chandravanshi.
For the first time in Indore, a Foil Fencing competition was conducted using a fully equipped electronic scoring machine, spool system, and complete competition setup, providing participants with a professional national and international standard competition experience.
