Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Jagdishpur is not merely a fort of bricks and stones but a place with a glorious historical legacy. He said that Jagdishpur has stood as a witness to a long history of struggle, rich culture and civilisation. Known historically as Jagdishpur, the place has now been restored to its original name.
The CM said that Jagdishpur symbolises the glorious heritage of the Gond dynasty as well as the Scindia and Rajput eras. He said that the Cabinet meeting was organised at Jagdishpur as a mark of respect for its rich historical legacy. He added that the meeting was dedicated to the ideals of equality and justice. CM Dr. Yadav made these remarks while addressing the Ministers ahead of the Cabinet meeting held at Jagdishpur, near Bhopal.
Film on Jagdishpur Fort Screened
CM chaired the Cabinet meeting, dedicated to the ideals of equality and justice, and commenced with the rendition of Vande Mataram. Additional Chief Secretary Sheo Shekhar Shukla welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting him with a sapling and a bouquet.
Minister Vishwas Sarang and Minister of State Krishna Gaur welcomed the Ministers by presenting them with Gond paintings.Dr. Yadav inaugurated the newly restored Jagdishpur Fort, developed at a cost of Rs 10 crore. A documentary showcasing the glorious history of Jagdishpur Fort and the State Government’s efforts to conserve and restore the monument was also screened on the occasion.
