MP Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will lay the foundation stone of a state-of-the-art Defence Manufacturing Plant being established by the Adani Group in Shivpuri on Sunday, July 5.
The project, with an investment of approximately Rs 2,500 crore will provide a significant impetus to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) and the Make in India initiative by strengthening the country’s defence manufacturing ecosystem.
Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia, will also be present on the occasion. During the programme, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav and Jyotiraditya Scindia will perform the bhoomi poojan and dedicate the development works worth Rs 211.29 crore.
Employment Generation and Boost to Local Industries
The Defence Manufacturing Plant is expected to create substantial direct and indirect employment opportunities.
Local residents will benefit from new job prospects, while Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the region will gain opportunities to become part of the defence production supply chain, thereby promoting industrial growth and strengthening the local economy.
