The Rose Garden competition, under the rose exhibition, to be held at Bhopal’s Rose Garden from January 9th, has received 65 entries from Bhopal city and the surrounding areas. Six joint teams from the Rose Society and the MP Horticulture Department will inspect these rose gardens on January 7th and 8th.
Commissioner of Horticulture and Food Processing, Arvind Dubey, stated that Madhya Pradesh ranks second in the country in flower production. The state government is making efforts to promote flower cultivation. As part of this initiative, a rose exhibition is organized annually at the Rose Garden complex in Bhopal from January 9th to 11th.
Considering the public’s interest in roses, a healthy competition among rose growers is being organized again this year. Awards will be given to encourage participants, from those growing roses in pots to those with full-fledged rose gardens. This competition has already begun.
Commissioner Dubey informed that 65 entries from rose gardens developed in Bhopal city and the surrounding areas (approximately 40 kilometers) have been included in this competition. On January 7th and 8th, representatives from the Rose Society and the Horticulture Department will inspect and evaluate these rose gardens.
On January 9th, roses grown in pots at home will be displayed at the Rose Garden. Rose growers can submit their entries at the Rose Garden from 8 AM to 12 noon on that day. On January 10th, cut flowers will be displayed at the Rose Garden complex.
The rose exhibition will be formally inaugurated on January 10th, and prizes will be distributed to the winners on January 11th.
