AIIMS Bhopal continues to foster a culture of academic excellence and knowledge-sharing among faculty members and students. Recently, Dr. Jai Kumar Chaurasia, Additional Professor in the Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine, was honored as the Best E-Poster Speaker at the International Congress of Cytology 2025, in Florence, Italy.
Dr. Chaurasia presented his research on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in early diagnosis of breast cytopathology titled “Fractal Analysis: Diagnostic Role in Breast Cytopathology.” More than 250 research papers were presented at this international congress by researchers from various countries.
The session was chaired by renowned Professor Philippe Vielh from France, and Dr. Chaurasia’s work received special appreciation from global cytopathology experts, including Prof. Zubair Baloch from the USA and Dr. Ashish Chandra from London, UK.
This research is considered a significant advancement in using AI-based techniques for early diagnosis of breast cancer. Co-authors of this research from AIIMS Bhopal’s Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine, including Prof. & Head Dr. Vaishali Walke, Prof. Deepti Joshi, Dr. Shakti, Dr. E. Jayashankar, and Dr. Vijayshri Chaurasia from MANIT Bhopal, congratulated Dr. Chaurasia on his achievement.
