
Following interactions with industrialists in major cities across India, the organization of regional industry conclaves in the state, and the success in attracting investments during visits to Germany and the UK, MP Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will now embark on a 4-day tour of Japan starting January 27.
During the visit, CM Mohan Yadav will engage with local industrialists in prominent Japanese cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, and Kobe to discuss investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, he will extend invitations to them for the Global Investors Summit, scheduled to be held in Bhopal on February 24 and 25.
The Chief Minister’s visit to Japan aims to familiarize Japanese industrialists and organizations with the investment potential in Madhya Pradesh. It also marks a significant step toward strengthening India-Japan relations
January 28: Start from Tokyo: CM Mohan Yadav will depart for Tokyo on the evening of January 27 from Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. He will arrive at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport at 2:25 AM on January 28. From there, he will reach the Imperial Hotel at 3:45 AM.
He will meet with the Friends of MP Japan team at the hotel. At 9:15 AM, the Chief Minister will officially meet with the Indian Ambassador, His Excellency Shri Sibi George, at his residence. At 10:15 AM, he will visit the Mahatma Gandhi Park in Edogawa City to pay tribute to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.
At 11:30 AM, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will participate in the roadshow “Celebrating India-Japan Relationship: Madhya Pradesh” organized at the Indian Embassy, where he will discuss investment and partnership opportunities with industrialists. From 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, he will have one-on-one meetings with industrialists. At 3:30 PM, Dr. Yadav will attend a luncheon at the residence of the Indian Ambassador.
January 29: Dialogue with Investors” On January 29, CM Mohan Yadav Yadav will join one-on-one meetings with industrialists from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM at the Imperial Hotel. Following this, he will meet with leading industrialists and organizations, including major names like “Keidanren” (Japan Business Federation) and “JETRO HQ.”
At 10:15 AM, Dr. Yadav will visit the Bridgestone Headquarters in Tokyo to engage in discussions with industrialists. Afterwards, he will visit tourist destinations in Tokyo. At 2:00 PM, he will return to the Imperial Hotel for a dialogue and luncheon with Friends of MP.
January 30: Visit to Kobe and Osaka: On January 30, CM Mohan Yadav will take the Shinkansen Bullet Train from Tokyo at 4:30 AM and arrive in Kobe at 8:30 AM. He will meet with officials from the “Sysmex” company and tour their site there.
After travelling from Kobe to Osaka, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will hold discussions with officials from “Panasonic Energy.” Later, at 3:00 PM, he will participate in an interactive session on “Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh” at the Imperial Hotel in Osaka.
January 31: Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo: On January 31, Dr. Yadav will attend G2G (Government-to-Government) and B2G (Business-to-Government) meetings from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM. He will leave Osaka at 7:00 AM and arrive in Kyoto at 8:00 AM. Dr. Yadav will explore various sites In Kyoto to understand Japan’s cultural and industrial advancements. At 2:00 PM, he will board the Shinkansen Bullet Train from Kyoto and reach Tokyo at 4:30 PM.
February 1: Return to India: On February 1, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will depart from Tokyo’s Haneda Airport at 4:30 AM and arrive in New Delhi at 5:30 PM.
Dr. Yadav will highlight key initiatives promoting investment, innovation, and sustainable development in Madhya PradeshDuring these sessions,. Representatives from renowned Japanese companies already operating in the state will share their success stories, and investors will have the opportunity for one-on-one meetings with the Chief Minister.
Key Focus Areas: The visit will emphasize sectors such as agriculture, dairy and food processing, fintech, IT/ITES and robotics, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, electric vehicles, automobiles, urban and industrial infrastructure, aerospace and defence, and tourism.
Trade Relations between Japan and Madhya Pradesh : Japan is a key trade and investment partner for Madhya Pradesh. In the financial year 2023-24, India-Japan trade reached USD 22.85 billion, with Madhya Pradesh exporting products such as aluminium, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and textiles. Major Japanese companies like Bridgestone, Panasonic, Sanoh, NHK, and Komatsu have been operating successfully in the state.
Japan will also participate as the “Partner Country” in the Invest Madhya Pradesh – Global Investors Summit 2025. This visit is expected to play a significant role in Madhya Pradesh’s industrial development, paving the way for new partnerships and investment opportunities in the state.
