The world is set to witness the marvel of “Made in India” at the upcoming Deepotsav celebration, following the inauguration of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya. A spectacular aerial drone show, using drones made entirely in India, will be one of the highlights of this festival.
These drones will depict various characters and events from the Ramayana, offering a 15-minute visual treat to the audience at Ram Ki Paidi. The Yogi government has meticulously planned this grand event to make it a memorable and extraordinary Deepotsav.
A Special Deepotsav on October 30
The eighth edition of Deepotsav, set to take place on October 30 in Ayodhya, promises to be a landmark event in many ways. This will be the first Deepotsav after the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ramlala at the newly inaugurated grand Ram temple, showcasing both spirituality and modernity.
The ghats of the sacred Saryu River will be illuminated by lakhs of diyas (traditional oil lamps), symbolizing India’s deep cultural heritage. At the same time, the skies above the Saryu and Ram Ki Paidi will light up with a modern drone show, reflecting the country’s progress in technology and innovation.
A Visual Feast in the Skies of Ayodhya
A fleet of 500 drones, outfitted with colorful lights, will create a stunning aerial spectacle for the crowd. This 15-minute performance will display various characters and scenes from the Ramayana, bringing them to life in the sky.
Spectators will be able to witness images of Lord Ram, his brother Laxman, and the mighty Hanuman in heroic poses, known as their “Veer Mudra.” Iconic moments such as Ravana’s defeat, the Pushpak Viman, and scenes of the Ram Darbar will be recreated.
Other visual formations will include representations of revered figures like Valmiki and Tulsidas, as well as the grand Ram Mandir itself.
Detailed Planning for a Memorable Show
Fifteen formations have been planned for the drone show, with a detailed storyboard being developed by the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department to ensure a smooth and captivating performance. This visual representation of Ram Katha (the story of Ram) will be a blend of tradition and modernity, aimed at capturing the attention of both devotees and visitors alike.
Green Fireworks and Laser Shows to Accompany the Event
In addition to the drone display, a sound and laser show will also take place during Deepotsav, further enhancing the retelling of Ram Katha. As part of the environmentally conscious celebrations, the fireworks will be done using artistically designed, pollution-free green firecrackers. These will add to the grandeur of the event without harming the environment.
Aiming for a World Record
This year’s Deepotsav also aims to set a new world record by lighting 25 lakh diyas during the festival. This ambitious feat will illuminate the entire area, symbolizing the victory of good over evil and marking the spiritual significance of the event. Through a mix of tradition, technology, and innovation, this year’s Deepotsav will stand out as a grand celebration of India’s rich heritage and modern achievements.
