Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will felicitate the winners of the Gopal-Krishna Gram Award Scheme at a state-level ceremony in Bhopal on November 9, on the occasion of Govardhan Puja. The winners were selected through a milk production competition held from October 27 to 31, 2026, across 208 designated Vrindavan villages. Ten livestock farmers will be symbolically honoured at the state-level event, while Gau Poojan and Gaupalak farmers’ felicitation programmes will be organised at all district headquarters across the state.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is establishing a distinct identity on the global stage. The state government is promoting milk production to enhance the income of farmers and livestock owners. Milk cooperative societies are being formed in Gram Panchayats for milk collection, enabling farmers to supplement their agricultural income through animal husbandry and dairy farming.
CM said Madhya Pradesh currently ranks third in the country in milk production. Our target is to make the state the number one milk producer in the country within the next two years. The state government is continuously working towards this goal through well-planned animal husbandry and indigenous cattle conservation policies.
Top Three Winners to Receive Cash Prizes of ₹1 Lakh, ₹50,000 and ₹25,000: Livestock farmers whose cows record the highest milk production in the competition will receive first, second and third prizes of ₹1 lakh, ₹50,000 and ₹25,000, respectively, along with certificates of appreciation. The prize money will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of all winners through a single instalment under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
