Bhopal: The atmosphere at Gauhar Mahal is currently filled with the artistry of handloom weaves, the vibrant colors of handicrafts, the earthy fragrance of folk life, and the enchanting notes of music. Thursday evening at the Swadeshi Handloom Fair—organized by the Madhya Pradesh Handicrafts and Handloom Development Corporation—was dedicated to a ‘Melody Night.’
Musician Renu Mehta, accompanied by fellow artists, presented a series of evergreen songs that transported the audience into a realm of golden musical memories. This musical evening featured Hindi film songs whose sweetness continues to resonate in the hearts of generations.
By including popular tracks originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle, Renu Mehta infused the evening with emotion, melody, and nostalgia. At times, the tenderness of the songs stirred deep emotions, while at others, lively tunes compelled the audience to applaud enthusiastically.
