Mumbai: Bollywood actress Kiara Advani says that the film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’ will prove to be a significant milestone in her acting journey, and audiences will witness a new facet of her acting prowess after this film.
The trailer for ‘Toxic’—starring ‘Rocking Star’ Yash in the lead role—was released recently at a grand event in Bengaluru; Kiara Advani appears in the film as the character Nadia. In the trailer, her character exudes sensitivity, emotional depth, and intensity. Kiara plays the role of a circus artist in the film.
The film’s trailer offers a glimpse into the dangerous world of Yash’s character, Arya. Set against the backdrop of Goa, this period gangster drama centers on themes of crime, power, family, and betrayal. Within this world, the character of Nadia adds a distinct emotional and mysterious dimension to the story.
Speaking about the character of Nadia and her experience with the film, Kiara Advani said, “I truly believe that Geetu and Yash brought the character of Nadia to life for me. They saw that potential in me and placed their trust in me, even when I didn’t realize at the time that I was ready to take such a fearless step as an actress. Today, whenever I watch even the smallest part of the film, I feel like thanking Geetu and Yash. They gave me a character that will remain incredibly special in my acting journey. I feel there will be one Kiara before ‘Toxic’ and a different Kiara after ‘Toxic’.”
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’ has been filmed in Kannada and English. The film will also be released in dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. ‘Toxic’ is set to release in theaters on August 26, 2026.
