To mark International Tiger Day and raise awareness about tigers among the general public and students, ‘Tiger Week‘ is being organized at Van Vihar National Park Bhopal from July 22 to July 28, 2026, featuring various competitions for school and college students.
As part of Tiger Week, and under the guidance of Van Vihar Director Vijay Kumar, a ‘Palm Painting‘ competition themed around “Tigers in Madhya Pradesh” was held on July 27 (from 10 AM to 12 noon) at the ‘Vihar Vithika’ within the park.
Students from classes 9 to 12 representing St. George School, Jawaharlal School, and Guru Nanak Public School participated. A total of 50 participants and teachers took part in the event.
Van Vihar Assistant Director Dr. Ruhi Haq presented prizes and certificates to the first, second, and third-place winners, as well as consolation prizes to four other participants. Other officials and staff members of Van Vihar were also present on the occasion.
A bird-watching camp will be organized at Van Vihar on July 28, 2026, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM.
