Bhopal: As part of the ‘Tiger Week’ organized by Van Vihar National Park to mark International Tiger Day, a painting competition themed ‘Tigers in Madhya Pradesh’ was held on Wednesday. The event aimed to raise awareness about wildlife conservation and tigers among students. Various creative activities are being organized daily from July 22 to July 28 as part of ‘Tiger Week’.
Approximately 138 students from classes 9 to 12 enthusiastically participated in the painting competition held at Van Vihar National Park. Students from Chandrashekhar Azad Higher Secondary School (Ratibad), Nathu Barkheda Higher Secondary School (Neelbad), Naveen Kanya Higher Secondary School (Tulsinagar), and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Higher Secondary School (Suraj Nagar) showcased their creative talent. Prizes and certificates were awarded to the participants securing the first, second, and third positions, while three participants received consolation prizes.
Under the ‘Tiger Week’ program, a tiger rescue workshop for college students will be held on July 23 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. An open quiz competition on the subject of tiger conservation will also be organized for school students.
