Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav reviewed the progress of all Sandipani Schools in the state that are ready for inauguration on Friday. He directed senior officials of the School Education and Tribal Welfare Departments to ensure that the inauguration of these schools is not limited to a formal ceremony but becomes a social celebration of education, culture and public participation.
The Chief Minister said that these programmes, to be organised during the ongoing School Chalen Abhiyan, should ensure active participation of students, parents, public representatives and local citizens.
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the inauguration of Sandipani Schools should be celebrated as a festival of joy. He described it as not merely the opening of new school buildings but the beginning of a new chapter of quality education and a brighter future for children.
CM directed that the events should be made memorable through cultural performances by students, competitions and other creative activities. He also instructed that refreshments and sweets be distributed to all children to make the occasion truly unforgettable.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also directed that a pocket-sized booklet on the inspiring life and teachings of Guru Sandipani be published and distributed among students. He said that Guru Sandipani was one of the greatest advocates of social harmony of his time. Without discrimination based on caste, class or colour, he imparted education equally to children from royal families as well as those belonging to poor and farming households.
CM said it is important, especially for students, to learn about Guru Sandipani’s life and contributions, as it would inspire them with the values of India’s ancient knowledge tradition, the Guru-Shishya relationship and moral principles.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav further directed that in Sandipani Schools that have already been inaugurated, Praveshotsav (school enrolment festivals) should be organised enthusiastically to encourage greater enrolment. He instructed officials to complete all preparations in a timely and effective manner so that every Sandipani School emerges as a model institution for quality, value-based and modern education in the state.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed that these schools be inaugurated by district in-charge ministers in the presence of other public representatives. He also directed that Guru Purnima, to be observed on July 29, be celebrated in one Sandipani School in every district under the chairmanship of the district in-charge minister. The celebrations should include science exhibitions, felicitation of teachers, presentations on innovations by students and teachers, demonstrations of digital technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI) by students, and honouring meritorious students.
School Education Secretary Dr. Sanjay Goyal informed the meeting that construction of 70 Sandipani School buildings has been completed, including 46 schools under the School Education Department and 24 under the Tribal Welfare Department.
