Dancers of Aryanatyam Dance School from Hyderabad, led by Guru NVN Samatha Rao, impressed audiences at the two-day World Dance Festival held in Sri Lanka.
On day one, Students of Aranya Natyam – Palakshi Mehta, Krushita Mekhla, and Tandem Charvi – performed at a vibrant Cultural Parade at Gangaramaya Temple, alongside 58 dance troupes from India, Sri Lanka, and other countries.
Day two, featured the team’s main stage performance at Lionel Wenth Auditorium where they presented a classical Bharatanatyam item ‘Shankar Sri Giri’ and earned loud applause for their precise padanyaas and graceful abhinaya. The festival ended with a felicitation ceremony honouring all participants for promoting cultural exchange.
Guru Samata Rao said, “Our students were proud to represent our country India. The love from Sri Lankan audiences was unforgettable.”
During the interaction with the media team, Palakshi shared her warm gratitude for Sri Lanka for providing them this opportunity where they could showcase their rich culture through their dance form.
