The National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Bhopal and Space Applications Centre (SAC), ISRO Ahmedabad signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in semiconductor technologies, OSAT, and LTCC (Low Temperature Co-Fired Ceramics).
The MoU, signed by Prof. C. C. Tripathi, Director, NITTTR Bhopal, and Shri Somya S. Sarkar, Director, SAC/ISRO Ahmedabad, in the presence of senior academicians and scientists, aims to develop LTCC facilities, high-frequency and high-power semiconductor technologies, and semiconductor packaging solutions.
The partnership will establish a joint LTCC multi-chip-module (MCM) fabrication centre at NITTTR Bhopal, promote research in OSAT/ATMP processes, and support faculty and skill development programs.
The jointly developed technologies will be used in satellite payloads, enhancing India’s indigenous capabilities and reducing satellite launch timelines. Key attendees included Prof. A. S. Wakey, Dr. P. K. Khanna, Prof. Nishith Dubey, and Dr. Pallavee Bhatnagar, who highlighted the importance of industry-academia collaboration in emerging semiconductor, packaging, and space electronics technologies.
