Bhopal: The 50-meter Rifle Prone (Women) events, held as part of the “24th Kumar Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting Championship (Rifle Events),” were successfully and thrillingly conducted on Monday at the MP State Shooting Academy in Bhopal, which operates under the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare.
In this prestigious national-level competition, female shooters from across the country delivered high-caliber performances, showcasing their talent, concentration, and technical proficiency with great distinction. The competition witnessed fierce rivalry among the athletes, with shooters from the Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy delivering outstanding performances that brought pride to the state.
Demonstrating discipline, self-confidence, and precision marksmanship, the academy’s young shooters made a strong statement regarding their presence on the national stage.
Pratha Rathore Bags Bronze in Junior Women’s Category
In the 50-meter Rifle Prone Junior Women’s category, the talented shooter from the MP State Shooting Academy, Ku. Pratha Rathore, delivered a magnificent performance to secure the bronze medal. Pratha achieved third place in the competition by scoring 617.6 points. Throughout the entire match, she maintained a consistently balanced and impressive performance, demonstrating both her technical expertise and mental fortitude. Her achievement has brought pride not only to the academy but to the entire state of Madhya Pradesh.
Madhya Pradesh Wins Silver in Senior Women’s Team Event
In the 50-meter Rifle Prone Senior Women’s Team event, the Madhya Pradesh team delivered a stellar performance to claim the silver medal. The state team proved its supremacy at the national level by collectively scoring 1853.1 points.
The team comprised Asian Games medalist Aashi Chouksey, international medalist Sunidhi Chauhan, and international athlete Nupur Kumrawat.
In the individual category of the competition, Nupur Kumrawat delivered an excellent performance by scoring 624.3 points, thereby securing a place among the top-ranking shooters. The coordination, experience, and consistently outstanding performance of the athletes brought a glorious victory to Madhya Pradesh in the team event.
