A one-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Experiential Practices in Happiness” was jointly organized by Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore, and The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS), Bhopal, on December 30, 2025.
The program commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Shailesh Pandey, representative of Jaipuria Institute of Management, and Father John PJ, Principal of BSSS, followed by a lamp lighting ceremony. The workshop’s main speaker was Dr. Nitin Merh, who actively engaged the participants through interactive sessions, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques, and experiential exercises.
The sessions focused on mindfulness and emotions, personal understanding of happiness, social connection, gratitude, and the development of positive mental habits. Dr. Vinay Mishra, Head of the Psychology Department at BSSS, served as the coordinator between the two institutions, strengthening academic collaboration. The program concluded with an interactive feedback and reflection session, highlighting the importance of experiential learning and holistic well-being in higher education.
