Raisen: The International Rice Export Federation (IREF) successfully organized the India International Rice Conference 2025 in New Delhi from October 30 to 31. IREF has over 7,750 member organizations, including exporters, processors, logistics firms, and farmers’ organizations. Representatives from all states of India, as well as from countries like Canada, Thailand, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), participated in the conference.
From Madhya Pradesh, GI-tagged Chinnor rice from Balaghat district and Basmati rice from Raisen district were showcased at the conference. Rajendra Raghuvanshi (Agriculture Department) represented the Basmati rice from Raisen district. At the state level, Sunil Kumar Sone (ADA) and Syed Zuber Ahmed (Head, Export Cell) were present.
During the conference, the team had the opportunity to interact with more than 50 exporters. This event will prove to be an important step toward gaining national and international recognition for Madhya Pradesh’s agricultural products.
