Under the National Education Policy-2020, several initiatives are being taken to transform various areas of education. In this context, NITTTR Bhopal and Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, New Delhi, have jointly organized a two-day national workshop on National Education Policy-2020: Innovation and Implementation in Polytechnic Education. This workshop will be held on November 1st and 2nd, 2025.
Dr. C.C. Tripathi, Director of NITTTR Bhopal, stated that the objectives of this workshop are to strengthen the role of polytechnic education in the context of national development, align the curriculum structure with the National Education Policy 2020, promote multi-disciplinarity and skill development, integrate experiential learning, industry-based projects, and innovation into the curriculum, promote self-employment and self-reliance through technical education, foster dialogue and collaboration among policymakers, educators, and institutional leadership, and exchange best practices and strengthen inter-sectoral dialogue.
Prof. P.K. Purohit, Dean, Corporate and International Relations, stated that the workshop will be attended by Directors of Technical Education, Principals, and policymakers from all states across the country. The workshop will ensure the effective implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 in polytechnic institutions, thereby setting new standards for education.
The workshop will develop clear guidelines and strategies for curriculum reform under the NEP-2020. Plans will also be considered for the development of innovation-based teaching models related to learning by doing, and for promoting self-employment, startups, and self-reliance. Strategies for incorporating Indian knowledge systems and value-based education into technical courses will also be proposed.
