AIIMS Bhopal has achieved another significant milestone in the field of advanced medical education and patient care. Under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Malik (Professor and Head, Radio-Diagnosis) and Prof. (Dr.) Aman Kumar (Additional Professor, Radio-Diagnosis) the institute has officially started the first DM Interventional Radiology Superspecialty Course in the entire state of Madhya Pradesh.
This is a major step towards strengthening super-specialty medical education in the region and improving access to advanced healthcare services for patients.
The first intake for this highly sought-after DM program will be for the January 2026 Batch, and admissions will be conducted through the INISS (Institute of National Importance Super Speciality Entrance Test) Exam. This highly specialized course will train doctors in minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, enhancing advanced healthcare access in the region.
On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Madhabananda Kar, Executive Director, AIIMS Bhopal, said that- this initiative will not only help medical professionals and young doctors from MP gain access to world-class super-specialty training within their own state but will also directly benefit patients by enhancing the availability of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services at AIIMS Bhopal. The initiative is expected to reduce patient recovery time, hospital stay, and treatment costs by promoting safer and faster care.
