In a commendable initiative before Diwali, students and their team from Urjasvini Special School in Indore, decorated and beautified more than 1500 diyas . A grand exhibition of these artistic lamps, titled “Urja”, was organised at ‘The Imagination Station’ in Baikunth Dham Colony.
A large number of city residents flocked to see the exhibition and praised the tireless efforts of these children. Many people purchased these special lamps to decorate their homes.
According to the school management, the entire amount collected from this exhibition will be used by the school children themselves to buy essential items, which they will then personally present to the elderly residents of an old age home. This initiative not only promotes creativity in children but also teaches them a lesson in social responsibility.
The exhibition was inaugurated by social worker Mala Singh Thakur. She wholeheartedly praised the children’s efforts and said, “Through such initiatives, we can see the development of society and observe that moral values are being instilled in the children from a young age. This is not just an exhibition of diyas, but a display of the spirit of service and cooperation.”
