Namo Drone Didi Yojana has given a new flight to the economic empowerment and self-reliance of rural women today. This scheme has made rural women self-reliant and economically empowered with technology and government support.
The life of Reena Chandel of village Thadoda in Agar-Malwa district has got a new direction with the scheme. Reena tells that she now sprays nano urea and nano pesticide in the fields of farmers with drones. In return, she gets payment at the rate of per hectare.
In just one agricultural season, she earns more than Rs 40,000 and this income reaches Rs 1 lakh in a year. Along with this, she is also making farmers aware about the use of nanotechnology.
Her experience shows that balanced and effective spraying is possible with drone technology, due to which farmers get 100 percent benefit. This process is completed in less time and at less cost as compared to labourers. Spraying is possible in just 5 to 10 minutes in one hectare of field.
Reena Chandel joined this scheme in the year 2024 and received training in drone operation in Indore and Bhopal. This training was given to her free of cost under Madhya Pradesh Rural Livelihood Mission. Not only this, she was also provided free drones under the scheme, so that she can earn by using drone technology in farming.
