Bhopal: On the occasion of ‘Bharat Raksha Parv 2026’, a program was organized on Thursday at the ITBP Centre, Kokta Bypass, to honor the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel deployed to guard the nation’s borders. The event served as a platform to express respect, affection, and gratitude towards the soldiers through the spirit of Raksha Bandhan.
Organized in collaboration with ITBP, Shaurya Foundation, and Lions Club International, the event was attended by dignitaries including Ajaypal Singh (IG, Headquarters Central Frontier ITBP), Amit Katiyar (DIG ITBP), Hariom Jatiya (Coordinator, Lions of Bhopal), and MJF Lion Mahesh Malviya.
During the event, the tradition of Raksha Bandhan was observed by tying rakhis to the soldiers. The occasion highlighted the affection sisters hold for the soldiers and expressed gratitude for the latter’s contribution to national security. Soldiers and attendees participated in interactive and team-building activities, fostering an atmosphere of mutual connection and camaraderie.
Speaking on behalf of Lions of Bhopal, Hariom Jatiya stated that soldiers deployed at the borders symbolize the nation’s trust and pride. He noted that spending time with them and honoring them on Raksha Bandhan serves as an inspiration for society.
Ajaypal Singh remarked that the contribution of security forces performing their duties in challenging border conditions is vital for the country. He added that the affection and trust of citizens strengthen the soldiers’ morale.
Other speakers paid tribute to the courage, discipline, and service to the nation demonstrated by ITBP personnel. They emphasized that respect for soldiers should not be limited to specific occasions alone, noting that such events can foster an emotional bond between citizens and security forces. Finally, the attendees expressed their respect for the soldiers, commending their dedication and service to the nation.
