Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that it is a matter of great pride for Madhya Pradesh that a major Rs 2,500-crore defence manufacturing project has commenced in Shivpuri. He noted that development projects worth Rs 211 crore were also inaugurated and launched on the same day.
CM Mohan Yadav said that with the State Government’s commitment to inclusive development and the active participation of the private sector, the entire Gwalior-Chambal region is poised for faster growth. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav made these remarks while interacting with local media representatives in Gwalior.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Madhya Pradesh Government is continuously working to make tourism a strong pillar of the state’s economy and employment generation. He said that tourism infrastructure is being expanded, particularly in areas with immense potential for forest and nature-based tourism, to create new livelihood opportunities for local communities and accelerate regional development.
The Chief Minister said that the government’s vision extends beyond developing tourism circuits and focuses on the integrated development of each tourist destination in accordance with its unique natural and cultural characteristics. He added that the state’s tiger reserves and rich natural heritage are among Madhya Pradesh’s greatest strengths and are being developed as world-class tourism destinations.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Ken-Betwa River Link Project and the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal River Link Project, currently underway in the state, will usher in a new era of development. These ambitious projects will provide far-reaching benefits to Shivpuri and the entire region by strengthening irrigation, drinking water supply, industry, animal husbandry and agriculture.
CM added that the government is pursuing tourism, water resource management, and infrastructure development through an integrated approach to accelerate farmers’ prosperity, generate local employment and ensure balanced regional development.
