Indore: True sporting talent knows no boundaries—a sentiment proven by three students from the Urjasvini Special School. Samriddhi Kumar, Alfaiz Mugal and Vandan Chawla have been selected for the upcoming District Level Para-Fencing Competition, organized under the aegis of the Indore Fencing Sports Development Association. These determined athletes will showcase their swordsmanship in the thrilling ‘Foil’ event.
The selection of these players is a testament to the rigorous training and guidance provided by self-defense expert and fencing coach, Master Sayeed Alam. For a long time, Master Alam has been mentoring these children in the intricacies of the sport. Under his tutelage, the athletes have not only mastered technical skills but have also displayed remarkable discipline and mental fortitude.
Encouraging the players, Master Sayeed Alam remarked: “Para-fencing athletes are second to none in terms of willpower and courage. Their hard work and self-confidence serve as an inspiration to us all. With the right platform and proper training, these children will bring pride to Indore at both state and national levels.”
A proud moment for the community
Dr. Vini Jharia, Director of Urjasvini Special School, expressed immense joy at the players’ success, congratulating them and wishing them a bright future. She emphasized that social support is vital to bringing such talented individuals into the mainstream, noting that the institution remains fully committed to their holistic development and athletic advancement.
