Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar has passed away. He was 66 years old. His plane crashed in Baramati at 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday. Initial information suggests that the accident occurred during landing at Baramati Airport. Five people, including Ajit Pawar’s personal assistant, security personnel, and flight attendants, have died.
According to information received so far, Pawar traveled to Baramati from Mumbai in a chartered plane. During landing, the plane skidded off the runway. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has confirmed the death of five people in the accident.
According to sources, a total of five people, including Ajit Pawar, were on board the chartered plane. They were all traveling from Mumbai to Baramati. Ajit Pawar was scheduled to participate in district council election campaigns and meetings in Baramati. He had scheduled several important meetings regarding the district council elections to be held in Pune district on February 5th. The accident occurred just before these meetings, creating an atmosphere of concern and turmoil in political circles.
After the accident, the chartered plane caught fire so intensely that the entire aircraft was destroyed. Local people who arrived at the scene first started rescue operations and immediately informed the police, fire department, and administration. Several fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and tried to control the fire. The rescue team attempted to pull people out of the wreckage, but the fire and smoke made rescue efforts very difficult
