Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav was paid a courtesy visit by medal-winning players from Madhya Pradesh at his official residence on Wednesday following their success at the 16th Asian Shooting Championship. The Chief Minister congratulated all the medalists for their outstanding performance and honoured them with incentive amounts totaling over ₹10.81 lakh from the Sports and Youth Welfare Department.
The players who attended the meeting with the Chief Minister included Aishwary Pratap Singh (1 gold, 1 silver), Ashi Chouksey (1 gold), Kushagra Singh Rajawat (1 gold), Shami Ullah Khan (1 gold), Neeru Dhada (2 gold), Mansi Raghuvanshi (1 gold, 1 silver), Jyotiraditya Singh Sisodia (1 bronze), Saiyyad Ahyan Ali (1 bronze) and Suraj Sharma (4 gold, 1 silver).
The championship was held from August 16 to 30, 2025, in Kazakhstan. The shooters from Madhya Pradesh Shooting Academy, Bhopal, participated in the event. Out of their team, nine players secured a total of 17 medals, including 12 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.
Principal Secretary of Sports and Youth Welfare Shri Manish Singh, Sports Director Shri Rakesh Kumar Gupta and other senior officials from the Sports Department were also present.
