A special lecture on the topic “Indian Knowledge System: A Scientific Perspective” was organized at NITTTR Bhopal in the ongoing training program for professors posted in government colleges of Madhya Pradesh and across the country under the Higher Education Department.
The chief guest of the program, Dr. Shiv Kumar Sharma, National Organization Secretary, Vigyan Bharati, while discussing various dimensions of the Indian Knowledge System, said that there is no hesitation in saying that all kinds of knowledge such as religion, philosophy, science, medicine, architecture and metallurgy, astrology, astronomy, architecture, dance, music, etc. originated in India, because there are thousands of evidences of this.
There are many inventions of the modern era that are based on the findings of Indian research. The place of a teacher is the highest in Indian culture. Work related to the Indian Knowledge System is a sadhana, Dr. Sharma added.
Dr. C.C. Tripathi, Director of the NITTTR Bhopal, said that the Department of Indian Knowledge Tradition has been established in our institute. Its aim is to revive the Indian educational, scientific, cultural, and social heritage and make it contemporary and relevant with scientific facts. Such events not only enrich the institute in the field of technical education, but also inspire towards education with a value-based, holistic, and Indian perspective. It is our shared responsibility to re-establish the Indian knowledge tradition.
Dean of Science and Head IKS Prof. P K Purohit said that NITTTR Bhopal is organizing a series of training programs based on the Indian Knowledge System for teachers of Madhya Pradesh and across the country. This thoughtful effort is a cultural call to re-awaken India’s self-realization and glorious tradition. Vivek Anand, General Secretary of Vigyan Bharati, teachers from all over the country, representatives of various institutions, and research scholars were also present at this program. The program was conducted by Mrs. Shobha Lekhwani.
