A woman entrepreneur from Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind district Smt. Meetu Agrawal has taken her company M/s Pukhraj Polymer Industries from a local enterprise to national recognition, by combining traditional family business with modern vision and technology.
The company, engaged in manufacturing plastic pipes and weather-resistant water tanks, expanded its operations through the MSME Incentive Scheme.
A stepping stone
Under the scheme, she received Rs. 121 lakh as incentive support from the Government of Madhya Pradesh for an investment of Rs. 500 lakh. This was not merely financial assistance—it was a stepping stone that gave wings to her dreams.
Meetu Agrawal shared that earlier, due to limited production capacity and lack of resources, she hesitated to accept large orders. But now, with consistent production and enhanced delivery capacity, her company has seen a marked increase in credibility and reputation among customers.
Technology-Driven Innovation
The water tanks manufactured by her company are equipped with anti-bacterial, odorless, anti-algal, and weather-resistant technologies, making them durable across all seasons. Available in capacities ranging from 200 to 5000 liters, these water tanks are in growing demand not only in Madhya Pradesh, but also in neighboring states. The company also produces garden pipes in various sizes, suitable for both domestic and agricultural use.
Shattered the myth that business is only a man’s domain
Smt. Meetu Agrawal has emerged as more than just an entrepreneur—she is now a symbol of inspiration. She has shattered the myth that business is only a man’s domain. She believes that with the right policy support and timely incentives, women can lead from the front in production and employment generation.
Gratitude Towards the CM and Govt
Expressing her gratitude to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and the State Government, Smt. Meetu Agrawal said, “Starting a business in Madhya Pradesh is no longer as difficult as it once was. I received the support I needed at the right time. That is why today I am not only self-reliant but also able to provide employment to many families. This approach by the government gives me and countless other women the courage to move forward.”
