The dominance of Indian athletes continues in Paris Paralympics-2024. Two Indian players created history by winning gold in Paris Paralympics 2924 on Wednesday.
Archer Harvinder Singh created history by winning gold in Men’s Singles Recurve Open Archery.
He is the first Indian archer to win a gold medal in Para Games.

Dharamvir bags gold: On Wednesday itself, Dharamvir also won a gold medal in club throw by making a record. Dharamvir performed brilliantly with a throw of 34.92 in the F51 event. He has become the first Indian player to win gold in this sport.
Apart from this, world champion shot putter Sachin Sarjerao and another club thrower Pranav Surma won silver medals.
Silver of club throw also in India’s bag: The country got double happiness in club throw. In this event, both gold and silver came in India’s bag. For India, Dharamvir won the gold medal with a throw of 34.92 meters, while Pranav Surma won the silver medal with a best throw of 34.59.
India improved its performance in Paris Paralympics and won the 24th medal. India has now reached the 13th position in the medal tally with 5 gold, 9 silver and 10 bronze.
India got a flurry of medals on the third day of Paris Paralympics. In the last three days, India has increased its medal count from 7 to 24. On the 7th day of the game, Indian players won a total of 4 medals, including 2 gold and the same number of silver medals.
This is India’s best performance so far in the Paralympics and with three more days left for the games, the number of medals is expected to increase.
