Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the State Government is deeply committed to the welfare of teachers and students and remains highly sensitive to all issues concerning them. He said the State Government has been consistently taking significant decisions to strengthen the education sector and safeguard the interests of students.
Dr. Yadav said that whenever Prime Minister Narendra Modi makes a decision in the interest of the nation, Madhya Pradesh is the first state to implement it and formulate the necessary policy framework accordingly. He said there is an urgent need for the speedy disposal of cases affecting young people.
CM said that to achieve this, four Fast-Track Courts will be established in Madhya Pradesh—in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior. Cases related to paper leaks, examinations, and other similar matters will be adjudicated within just three months through these courts.
CM said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to student welfare and educational reforms. Referring to the NEET paper leak incident, he said that as soon as the matter came to light, the Prime Minister ordered immediate action by constituting a Special Investigation Team (SIT). Cases were registered, the accused were swiftly arrested across the country, and the NEET examination was subsequently re-conducted.
CM Mohan Yadav reiterated that the State Government stands firmly with students and is fully committed to protecting their interests in every situation. He assured that comprehensive Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs) would be formulated and all necessary measures taken to ensure future NEET examinations are conducted in a transparent, fair, and efficient manner.
The Chief Minister further said that Madhya Pradesh was the first state in the country to implement the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Over the past two-and-a-half years, the State Government has established three new government universities. Alongside accelerating development across the state, ensuring the welfare of youth and students remains a key responsibility of the government. He said several important decisions have already been taken for students, and many more such initiatives will continue in the future.
Dr. Yadav also highlighted the expansion of higher education. He said the number of medical colleges in the country has more than doubled during the Prime Minister’s tenure. Similarly, the number of universities has increased from 641 to over 1,400, while medical education seats have risen from 50,000 to more than one lakh nationwide.
