Amitabh Bachchan is one of those legendary actors of Hindi cinema whose diligence and discipline are often cited as examples to emulate. Even at the age of 83, Big B continues to work tirelessly, maintaining the same level of seriousness toward his profession as he did during the early days of his career. Recently, he revealed in his blog that being idle—not working—causes him distress.
In his post, Amitabh Bachchan wrote that if a day passes without any work, he feels extremely strange and uncomfortable. He explained that having worked within a fixed routine for years, whenever that routine is disrupted, the entire day begins to feel unbalanced. According to him, when you do not work every day, the equilibrium of your habits is disturbed, and the day begins to feel like a chaotic jumble.
Amitabh Bachchan also shared that days without work can trigger anxiety in him; however, he advised others to avoid unnecessary worry. In his view, anxiety is detrimental to both the mind and the body, and it is essential to keep it under control.
Big B further remarked that working consistently helps maintain a sense of harmony in life. If an individual maintains consistency in their daily tasks, it fosters mental peace and balance. Conversely, when this rhythm is disrupted, feelings of restlessness and anxiety can escalate. Drawing upon his own experiences, he offered the advice that discipline and regularity are absolutely vital in life. Not only does this lead to better work performance, but it also ensures good mental health.
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan was recently seen in Kalki 2898 AD, where his portrayal of the character Ashwatthama received immense acclaim. The film also proved to be a superhit at the box office. Currently, he is busy shooting for its sequel and continues to entertain audiences through his work.
