Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla inspected the Maharaja Martand Singh Zoo Dev White Tiger Safari in Mukundpur, Maihar district. In his presence, exotic birds brought to the zoo were released into their habitats.
New exotic birds, provided to Mukundpur by Northern Coalfields Limited, Singrauli, under the CSR scheme, were released into their natural habitats within the walk-in aviary. New species of colorful birds have now arrived in the Mukundpur Zoo aviary for wildlife conservation.
These include the Red Scarlet Macaw, Red Green-winged Macaw, Sulphur-crested Cockatoo, Blue Gold Macaw, Hans’ Macaw, African Grey Parrot, Grand Electus, Sun Conure, Cockatiels, and Lovebirds.
With the arrival of new birds, tourists will now be able to see more exotic bird species. During his visit, Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla praised the efforts to conserve birds. Shukla also observed natural farming being done in Hariharpur, Rewa district. CCF Rajesh Rai and Forest Division Officer Vidya Bhushan Mishra were present on this occasion.
