At the QS India Summit 2026 held in Goa, Madhya Pradesh strongly presented its global aspirations in the field of higher education. Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) for Higher Education, Anupam Rajan, held one-on-one discussions with delegates from the prestigious University of Canterbury in New Zealand, engaging in fruitful conversations on research, innovation, and international academic collaboration.
ACS Rajan stated that in this competitive era, international partnerships, joint research, and academic exchange are crucial for making Madhya Pradesh a global hub for higher education. The summit emphasized sustainability, research-oriented learning, and innovative teaching methodologies.
Established in 1873, the University of Canterbury is a leading research university in New Zealand and is ranked among the top 300 universities in the world. It has a global reputation in subjects such as arts, commerce, law, engineering, and science. Through ACS Rajan’s active participation in the three-day QS India Summit 2026, Madhya Pradesh presented its robust strategy for collaboration, joint research, and capacity building with foreign universities.
This initiative will prove significant in developing the state as a global hub for higher education. Commissioner of Higher Education Mr. Prabal Sipaha, Officer on Special Duty Dr. Sunil Singh, Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Mr. Manoj Agnihotri, and other officials were also present at the summit.
