Bhopal: On the instructions of Governor Mangubhai Patel, Lok Bhavan (earlier Raj Bhavan) will be opened to the general public for three days on the occasion of Republic Day-2026. During public visits, cultural events and short films will be screened and an exhibition of photographs will also be organised for visitors.
Governor’s Principal Secretary Dr. Navneet Mohan Kothari said that the objective of this initiative is to connect citizens with democratic institutions and further strengthen the significance of Republic Day. He informed that citizens will be able to visit Lok Bhavan during the stipulated timings from January 25 to January 27, 2026.
On January 25 and January 27, 2026, Lok Bhavan will remain open to the public from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. On Republic Day, January 26, 2026, public visits will be permitted only from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Entry and exit for visitors will be ensured exclusively through Gate No. 1.
