The family has now confirmed that the wedding will take place only after the T20 World Cup. Since the World Cup starts in February and ends in the first week of March, the family is planning the wedding for April. This means that Rinku Singh will begin his new innings immediately after the World Cup.
Rinku Singh’s elder brother, Sonu Lefty, confirmed the wedding plans, stating that the ceremony will be held after the World Cup. He also shared another piece of good news for Rinku’s fans. Efforts are underway to open a new cricket academy in Aligarh. Significantly, this academy will be named after Rinku Singh’s Indian team jersey number 35. The process of establishing the academy is currently underway, with the aim of nurturing future cricketers.
Rinku Singh and Priya Saroj’s engagement took place with great fanfare on June 8, 2025, at a hotel in Lucknow. The ring ceremony was held in the hotel’s central hall, where special security arrangements were also in place. Several prominent personalities from the world of politics and sports attended the ceremony to bless the couple. Besides the two families, several prominent figures attended the event, including Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Jaya Bachchan. Fifteen rooms were booked at the hotel for the engagement ceremony, and approximately 300 special guests were invited.
