BSSS Institute of Advance Studies successfully organized a one-day Capacity Building Programme on “Impactful Leadership for Work-Life Integration”, in collaboration with the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of MP, bringing together academic leaders from across Madhya Pradesh. The programme witnessed an overwhelming participation from 30+ higher education institutions, with over 80 Principals, Heads of Departments, and senior professors attending the event.
The programme commenced with an insightful introduction by Dr. Pooja Gupta, Chairperson, MDP, BSSS IAS, who highlighted the objective of strengthening leadership capacities within the higher education ecosystem. This was followed by the welcome address by Dr. Fr. John PJ., Executive Director, BSSS IAS, who emphasized the institution’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and holistic professional development.
The Guest of Honor, Dr. Mathura Prasad, Additional Director, Department of Higher Education, Government of M.P., addressed the gathering and appreciated the initiative for empowering educators through contemporary leadership frameworks.
The Chief Guest, Prof. Suresh Kumar Jain, Vice-Chancellor, Barkatullah University, Bhopal, delivered an inspiring speech on the significance of adaptive leadership in today’s dynamic educational landscape. He emphasized the need of working together to mark the presence and contribution of Higher Education Institutions of Govt. of MP, globally.
The programme featured four enriching technical sessions– 1: Leading with Emotional Intelligence and Mindfulness, 2: Redefining Leadership in the Age of Integration, 3: Designing a Culture of Well-being, 4: Building Resilience for Mental Wellness.
The valedictory session was graced once again by Dr. Mathura Prasad, who appreciated the enthusiastic participation of delegates and distributed certificates to all attendees.
A significant highlight of the event was the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with three prominent higher education institutions – Chandra Shekar Azad PG College, Sehore, Govt. Girls’ College, Sehore, Govt. Girls’ College Itarsi, and marking the beginning of collaborative academic initiatives and leadership development programmes in the state.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Rev. Dr. Fr. John P. J., reaffirming BSSS IAS’s commitment to nurturing transformational leadership and promoting a culture of well-being in higher education.
